BIO
Musician . Actor . Teacher .
AJ is a Philly girl who loves to perform, write and teach.
Trained in piano/voice at The University of the Arts (BM, MM Jazz Studies) and in acting at Stella Adler Studio, AJ approaches all of her projects with the intensity of a jazz musician and the heart of an actor. She brings the beauty of both worlds to her work as a pianist, vocalist, songwriter, worship leader, actor, and professor.
AJ's solo singer-songwriter album The Table was released in 2022, and she recently released the Robby Webb remix of her song I Found Grace. AJ's most recent release is the City Life Worship live album YES GOD, which she wrote for, performed on and co-produced.
In addition to writing and recording music, AJ serves as a pastor of worship and production at City Life Philly, and was a jazz professor at University of the Arts for twelve years.
As a worship leader and songwriter, as well as accompanist at Philly's historic synagogue Congregation Rodeph Shalom, AJ's biggest passion is witnessing the power of congregational singing, especially through original music.
AJ provides private vocal coaching, piano lessons, and songwriting training for professional students or those who are serious about their studies - contact if interested in private instruction or group workshops.
